travator (Moving Walk).
1974 – Accumulated sales of
elevators and escalators reached 50,000 units.
1982 – Marketed Japan’s first
VVVF inverter-controlled elevator.
1983 – Accumulated sales of
elevators and escalators reached 100,000 units.
1985 – Delivered the world’s
first spiral escalator.
1988 – Marketed Artificial
Intelligence group control system SAI-2100
1991 – Established Mitsubishi
Elevator Asia Co., Ltd. In Thailand.
1993 – Installed the world’s
fastest passenger elevator (750 m/min) in Landmark Tower Yokohama, Japan.
Accumulated sales of elevators and escalators reached 200,000 units.
2000 – Marketed the AI
group-control system, the SAI-2200. Accumulated sales of elevators and
escalators reached 300,000 units.
2001 – Marketed ELENESSA
(machine room less elevator) with thinnest traction machine.
2002 – Marketed NEXWAY, the
custom-type passenger elevator.

(MELSA)

1980 –Established Mitsubishi
Electric Saudi Ltd.
1983 –Installed more than 1000 elevator & escalator
units in Government Housing projects in Riyadh,
Jeddah, Al-Khobar and Al-Kharj.
1984 –Installed 196 elevator, escalator & moving walk
units at Riyadh
Airport.
1986 –Installed 224 elevator & escalator units and
Diamond Vision display screen at Imam University.
1995 -Accumulated sales of elevators and escalators
reached 3,000 units.
1999 –Installed Saudi Arabia’s first set of
spiral escalators at the Jeddah Hilton.
2000 -Accumulated sales of elevators and escalators
reached 5,000 units.
2001 –Installed the Fastest elevators (360 m/min) in Saudi Arabia
at Al Faisaliah center.
2002 -Installed the second fastest elevators (300
m/min) in Saudi Arabia
and a 4000 Kg capacity passenger elevator at Kingdom center, the tallest
landmark in Saudi Arabia.
2003 - Accumulated sales
of elevators and escalators reached 7,000 units
